Charlie’s Gift is an independent, local not for profit charity fund. This means that we rely on the generosity of volunteers to support our purpose and progress our mission; to combat loneliness, social isolation and other issues impacting confident ageing and well-being.
Charlie’s Gift operates solely with volunteers passionate about giving back to their community and creating positive change to ageing and aged support.
We know there is a position for you here that will pique your interest, where your passion and skills will be welcomed, appreciated and acknowledged.
Display a Donation Box
Displaying a Charlie’s Gift Donation Box is a simple way to show your support. A donation box creates community awareness, provides opportunities for small change donations, and provides website and contact details.
Upon request, we drop off a box, complete with security chain and lock. All you have to do is contact us when the box gets full and we’ll pop in and empty it.
You and your business will then receive recognition highlighting the total amount you and your patrons raised for Charlie’s Gift.
Upon your 12 month anniversary supporting Charlie’s Gift, you will receive our Supporting Your Community appreciation certiciate, including the annual total amount raised in support of Charlie’s Gift and how it helped our older community.
Organise a Fundraiser
Have fun and support your community by hosting a gold donation social event or fundraising opportunity at your home, school, office, or sports club. For example, hold a “Guess How Many” jellybeans competition, host a charity morning tea, or place a tardiness jar at your home or office.
All donations will be promoted on our website and social media platforms. You will also receive a Charlie’s Gift Certificate of Appreciation.
We can provide a collection box for your event or, if preferred, transfer the total donation raised via our website’s Fundraising & Donations page.
Purchase a Gift that Gives
Taking all opportunities to give back to those who give and support their community is engrained in our Core Values.
Purchasing a Charlie’s Gift ‘gift that gives’ promotes small local businesses and showcases the individual talents within our community. Funding raised through our gifts goes directly towards our community programs supporting our older community to connect to and engage with their community.
You can also donate a handmade Gift that Gives or donate a local business product or service where a percentage is donated to support Charlie’s Gift.

Donating an item or product to Charlie’s Gift where all, or part, of the proceeds rased from sales is used towards keeping our older community connected and socially enaged, is a fabulous way to provide support and showcase your talents.

There are many ways your sponsorship could support us. For example, contribute towards running our community programs or provision of goods and services for fundraising events
Charlie’s Gift values our sponsors as we aim to support and promote those who support us via our website, social media platforms and marketing materials.
Create an In Memory Tribute
Consider setting up an In Memory Tribute page for a loved one where friends and family can make a donation in lieu of flowers.
Your loved ones memory and story will continue to live on in tribute and appreciation for their contribution to our community.
All ‘In Memory’ donations will go towards support and companionship for older people in the palliative stages of disease who wish to die ‘in place’ and their carers.
Make a Personal Donation
Every little bit helps to ensure our community can age confidently, without fear of loneliness or isolation. Your personal donation will go towards supporting an older adult to reconnect and socially engage with their community.
Charlie’s Gift is an authorised Gift Donation Recipient (GDR). All donations over $2.00 are tax deductable. A taxable invoice is forwarded directly after payment.
